A meet was organised by the District administration and Medical and Health Department at the District Collectorate in connection with the World No Tobacco Day 2014.A talk on Tobacco Prevention was given by Dr.Raju and Dr.Srinivas Ramaka.The meet was attended by Sri.Kishan,District Collector and Magistrate, Sri.Krishna Reddy, Assistant Joint Collector, Sarala Kumari,Secretary,District Legal Services Authority ad Dr.Sambashiva Rao,DM&HO.The dignitaries gave their messages on tobacco prevention. Sri.Kishan, the District Collector released a pamphlet on “Ill effects of Tobacco.” Smt. Sarala Kumari, the Secretary, District Legal Services Authority released the copy of a telugu translation of the COTP ACT. Sri.Krishna Reddy, Assistant Joint Collector released a proforma of tobacco cessation. Dr. Srinivas Ramaka made an appeal to the District administration and everyone to see that the laws on tobacco prevention are implemented strictly and see that Warangal is made tobacco free. A talk on “Ill effects of Tobacco” was given at the Press Club,Warangal in connecton with the World No Tobacco Day 2014 on May 31,2014 and a message was given to lay public on tobacco prevention.
